Wiring Services

VOIP Portland offers a full line of wiring services. Whether it’s for phone, data, video, paging, door-phones, video surveillance, or fiber optics we have the highest quality solutions at the most competitive pricing.

Wiring ServicesIf there is one area that being too frugal will come back to bite you, it is with cabling. Always cable more than you believe you will need in the next five to ten years in a new office space. It is much less expensive to cable “all at once” than on a piece meal basis.

We have cabled hundreds of companies’ facilities and are very proud of the professional look and performance of our installations. Our cabling installations carry a minimum ten year warranty and we always use the best cabling and connector components.

Being a full service VOIP company means that we can be responsible for installing new wiring for you or certifying your wiring for VOIP. Many companies just sell phones and that can leave you in a bind when or if cabling issues arise.

The most commonly installed data cabling currently is CAT5e. It will run your gigabit network without issues when quality connecting hardware is used.

For our customers who have the need for speed, we can install even faster network wiring such as CAT6a or super-fast wireless options.

We use only solid copper data cabling in our installations. Beware of Copper Clad Aluminum under performing overseas wire! Many of our competitors bid this type of wiring and hide it in the fine print.

Wiring ServicesCCA is simply aluminum wiring COATED with a thin layer of copper to give the appearance of solid copper wire. Most, if not all, is not even UL listed. This is a throwback to the 1970’s when homes used aluminum wiring due to copper costs. Solid copper is better in every way.

Portland VOIP uses only quality cabling and components. Most of the VOIP phones we sell also support gigabit pass-through at the IP phone itself (very important).

Wireless Options

Where a wired network is not possible there are always many WIFI options. We also specialize in installation of building-to-building wireless dishes. Some very simple. Others that can send a full duplex Gigabit error-free laser signal up to 60 miles away (line of sight). At a fraction of the cost of fiber optics. These systems are far less costly and more reliable than they were just 2-3 years ago.

Not all data wiring installations are the same. Cable contractors will count on your ignorance. Surprise them with your ability to protect your companies’ interests. You may save your company thousands of dollars in the near future in re-cabling expenses.

VoIP Portland is licensed in both Oregon and Washington to install limited energy cabling. Our Construction Contractors Board number is 78747. We have never had even one complaint or lien against us in 33 years.

We have two Washington State Telecom Administrators on staff. Hundreds of Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, single-mode/multi-mode fiber, building to building wireless, and underground cable installations under our belt. Let VoIP Portland be the one company you can count on for both communications systems and the required cabling.
